Ensconced in the dining room of Millerton’s “luxury” Simmons’ Way Inn, chef Tim Cocheo’s “fantastic” two-year-old offers a “daring” French and Austrian accented New American menu and “pulls it off superbly”, with “sublime”, “mouthwatering” cooking that draws “fans from a 10-town radius”; the “congenial”, “sophisticated country setting”, “personal service’ and midweek prix fixe offering even greater value” have devotees declaring “its name is off by one- it should be a 10!”

Our dinner was magnificent! We started with the butternut squash soup which was warm, rich and somehow left a delightful, lingering taste of rustic homemade buttery popcorn. The cheese and nuts on top turned this bowl of soup into a hearty, savory meal. Bravo!..

You just can’t get Wienerschnitzel like this outside of NYC, but now — miraculously — you can in Dutchess county. Rejoice, Millertonians…
